WIP è il partner italiano del Progetto Erasmus+ «New values for a better future» approvato dall’Agenzia Nazionale Greca. Il progetto vedrà la partecipazione di 30 operatori giovanili dal 7 al 17 Maggio 2015 – Thasos Island, Grecia.

Connected to the world, the European youth is crossed by various cultural currents and influenced by major socio-economic changes. Young people demand their city to adapt the current trends, to offer ways to express themselves, and promote the emergence of resources to meet their needs. Thus, for a young, living and growing up within a metropolis should be an exciting experience thanks to the great participation opportunities they find there, the parks, and the institutions of the metropolis as well as the dynamism of youth workers.Nowadays, regions in different European countries should occupy a more privileged position to promote the emergence of programs and activities that meet the diverse interests of their youth, in addition to providing stability and support to those who need them.

To live well in the public space, it is necessary that we will be interviewed at the very outset, on the stage of the conception, about the use that will be made. It is therefore necessary to integrate the citizen into the whole process including the Young so that they embark on thinking and implementation as soon as possible.
Also, the involvement of citizens, including young people in the development and operation of undeveloped public spaces, will develop social entrepreneurship.This type of entrepreneurship aims to conjugate economic efficiency and social impact.
In this context, and in view to develop concrete methods of involvement and engagement of young people in the development of their city, as well as to allow them to live their city, we wish to organize a training course which will bring together 30 youth workers and young leaders from 10 European countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Romania, France, Latvia, Greece and Turkey) for 9 days in Thasos island in Greece. During this training, participants will share their experiences and best practices and develop skills on how to involve young people in the development of their city.
Participation Fee:
– 100% of accommodation and basic food are covered by the programme
– 100% of activities fee are covered by the programme
– Your travel cost are covered by the programme (max 275,00€)
– Each participant should pay 20 Euros participation fee to Solidarity Tracks
